Shipping Policy

At Black Tallow Co., we handcraft every product with care in Ottawa, Ontario, and ship with the same attention to quality and simplicity.

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
Processing begins once payment is confirmed and does not include weekends or statutory holidays in Ontario.
During peak periods (e.g., holidays), processing may take up to 5 business days. We will communicate any delays via email if needed.
We do not process or ship on weekends or Canadian statutory holidays.

We partner with Canada Post for reliable, trackable shipping across Canada.

Standard (Expedited Parcel or similar): 3–7 business days after processing.
Xpresspost (faster option): 1–3 business days after processing (available at checkout for an additional fee).

Tracking numbers are provided via email once your order ships. You can track your package directly on the Canada Post website.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on package weight, dimensions, destination, and selected carrier/service.

We aim to keep rates fair and transparent—no hidden fees.
Free shipping thresholds or flat rates will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Rates are subject to change based on carrier pricing; the final amount shown at checkout is final.

Address accuracy: Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, or additional costs due to incorrect addresses.
PO Boxes & Remote Areas: We ship to most PO Boxes and rural addresses via Canada Post, but delivery may take longer in remote locations.
Weather & Carrier Delays: Extreme weather, postal strikes, customs holds, or other events beyond our control may affect delivery times. We appreciate your patience.
Damaged or Lost Shipments: If your package arrives damaged or is lost, contact us within 7 days of delivery (or estimated delivery date) with photos and order number. We’ll work with the carrier to resolve.
